Job summary

Google is hiring a Technical Program Manager to lead complex, multi-disciplinary projects in data center operations. You will plan requirements, identify risks, manage schedules, and communicate tradeoffs to executives and engineers.

The role involves working with the Google Data Centers team to design, build, and operate reliable data centers while driving efficiency, AI-enabled automation, and cross-team collaboration across global sites.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a technical field or equivalent practical experience.
• 5 years of experience in program management.
• Experience with data centers.
• Experience in electrical, mechanical, or systems engineering.
• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or related engineering field preferred.
• 5 years of experience managing cross-functional projects.
• Experience with industrial controls in critical environments (data centers, manufacturing, pharmaceuticals, defense and aviation).
• Equivalent trade backgrounds in electrical or mechanical systems.
• Ability to leverage AI and automation tools to streamline technical program management workflows.
• Train and assist internal team with BMS, EPMS and SCADA systems.

Responsibilities

• Lead technical projects involving BMS and EPMS for Greenfield and Brownfield sites, including scope, schedule, budget, and resources.
• Respond to and resolve incidents related to critical infrastructure using data from BMS and EPMS.
• Collect and analyze operational data to identify trends and drive process improvements.
• Develop dashboards and visualizations to monitor system health and identify optimization opportunities.
• Collaborate with operations teams and vendors to mitigate risks.
