Job summary

Cox Automotive seeks a senior Data Architect to lead the data architecture, reporting platform and product catalog strategy for the Xtime portfolio. You will partner with leadership to set standards, policies and roadmaps that enable scalable, secure data flows and enterprise reporting across multiple delivery teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, MIS, or related discipline with 10 years of experience; or equivalent combinations.
• 10+ years in full development life cycle, architecture design, and platform implementations.
• Experience delivering enterprise-scale ETL and reporting solutions.
• Experience designing cloud architectures (AWS preferred; GCP/Azure also acceptable).
• Experience with Snowflake, MicroStrategy, Logi or similar platforms.
• Strong problem-solving, analytical and strategic thinking skills.
• 5+ years in architecture delivery and communicating strategies to leadership.
• 5+ years using architecture models, reference architectures and diagrams.

Responsibilities

• Collaborates with business, engineering and product stakeholders to drive holistic architectural design across data, reporting and catalog areas.
• Monitors industry and competition for solution-focused changes.
• Owns architecture of the data, reporting and catalog domains across the portfolio.
• Defines patterns for data feeds and reports, including multi-media reporting and service pricing.
• Evaluates performance, security, reliability and interoperability for reporting solutions.
• Creates proofs of concept for new data and reporting technologies.
• Provides systems architecture advice for data, reporting and catalog domains across the portfolio.
• Ensures alignment of architectural direction with stakeholders across initiatives.
• Addresses issues related to architecture, performance and availability across teams.
