Job summary

Talanto in New York is seeking a Data Solutions Architect to translate vision and business requirements into technical specifications. You will design data solutions, guide architecture, and shape the next generation of the data ecosystem across cloud, on‑premises and hybrid environments.

The role requires experience in data governance, BI, data engineering, data science, SQL, and metadata models, with strong collaboration skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in data management, computer science, information systems, mathematics, data/analytics or related field, or equivalent experience.
• 3–4+ years in data management disciplines including data integration, data modeling, solutions architecture, optimization and data quality.
• Knowledge of business systems and processes and their impact on data and analytics objectives.
• Ability to assess rapidly changing technologies and apply them to business needs.
• Business domain, data/content and process understanding.
• Understanding of BI, Data Engineering, Data Science and Data Governance processes.
• Thorough knowledge of relational and non-relational database theory and SQL.
• Understanding of metadata models, taxonomies and ontologies; data modeling for unstructured sources.
• Experience across cloud, on-premises and hybrid deployment environments.
• Ability to apply software engineering and DevOps practices to data architectures.

Responsibilities

• Translate vision, goals and business requirements for data analytics projects into technical specifications.
• Design fit-for-purpose data solutions with appropriate architectural patterns.
• Provide direction for data architecture design, planning and development.
• Guide future updates and enhancements of data ecosystems.
