Albert Einstein College of Medicine is seeking a Senior Data Design and Analytics Manager in New York to lead data systems supporting clinical, research, and operational initiatives. Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in CS/Info Systems/Healthcare Informatics or equivalent work experience.
• Minimum 5 years of experience as a Solution Architect with expertise in BI, data analytics, data engineering, and enterprise app development in healthcare/academic environments.
• Advanced proficiency in SQL Server, T-SQL, PL/SQL, Python, C#, ASP.NET MVC/.NET Core, JavaScript, SSIS, SSRS, Power BI; strong data engineering and enterprise app development skills.
• Demonstrated expertise in data visualization, statistical analysis, and AI/ML model development in healthcare contexts.
• Familiarity with Epic Systems (Clarity, Caboodle, Hyperspace) and EHR data workflows; experience with Azure, CI/CD, and SSO preferred.
• Familiarity with AI-assisted development tools such as Claude, Codex, GitHub Copilot; strong problem-solving and collaboration skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects independently in a fast-paced, research-oriented environment.
• Prior experience supporting clinical or academic research initiatives in a medical institution is strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Design and maintain robust SQL Server databases and infrastructure to support data analytics, dashboards, internal web apps, and portals.
• Develop and manage ETL workflows to ingest data from Epic Clarity, Snowflake helix (AWS), Banner, Oracle, and other systems into departmental SQL Server databases.
• Lead the development of interactive dashboards and reports using SSRS, Power BI, and other BI tools for leadership, researchers, and clinicians.
• Create, enhance, and maintain secure, scalable internal web applications using ASP.NET technologies; lead modernization by migrating legacy Web Forms to .NET Core MVC.
• Apply ML and AI techniques for clinical prediction models and operational insights.
• Leverage AI-assisted development tools to improve software development, documentation, automation, and analytics workflows.
• Automate data pipelines and recurring reports using SSIS/SSRS to improve efficiency and reliability.
• Ensure data integrity, governance, security, and compliance across analytics workflows.
• Collaborate with physicians, researchers, finance, IT, and clinical ops to align data solutions with institutional needs.
• Provide data support for academic research, including cohort identification, clinical outcomes, and data visualization.
• Document data systems and architecture to ensure scalability and knowledge continuity.
• Engage with leadership to advance the learning health system mission of the Department of Medicine.
• Manage a team of data scientists in hiring, mentoring, and performance; drive ML/AI solutions for advanced analytics.
