Medidata in New York is seeking a Senior Director of AI & Data Science to shape the future of AI across clinical trials. You will lead a world-class team of data scientists, ML engineers, and researchers, crafting scalable AI architectures and hands-on solutions that accelerate study design and execution.

This senior role combines architecture, mentorship, and impact, partnering with Product, Engineering, and Delivery to deliver trusted AI capabilities that improve speed, quality, and patient

Qualifications

• 12+ years of experience in data science, ML, or AI.
• 5+ years leading and developing high-performing technical teams.
• Experience in healthcare, life sciences, or clinical trial data with strong regulatory, privacy and quality knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Define the technical vision, architecture, and roadmap for enterprise AI and ML capabilities.
• Lead end-to-end AI lifecycle from opportunity discovery through deployment and governance.
• Mentor and coach senior engineers and data scientists while solving complex AI challenges.
• Partner with Product, Engineering, Data, Clinical Science, and Delivery to deliver scalable AI solutions.
