Job summary

NYU Langone Health seeks a Senior Database Analyst to design, develop, and maintain relational and non-relational databases supporting complex clinical research in psychiatry.

You will harmonize diverse datasets across studies, apply machine learning and AI-driven techniques, build dashboards, ensure data governance, and collaborate with biostatisticians and IT teams to drive translational insights.

Qualifications

• Masters or PhD in CS, Data Science, Biomedical Informatics or related field with 3+ years of experience.
• Strong SQL, Python, R and SAS; data modeling and governance experience.
• Experience with FDA/HIPAA/GCP regulations and clinical data standards.
• Experience with BI tools and ML frameworks preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop ETL routines and data pipelines for multimodal clinical data.
• Create automated dashboards and reports for real-time monitoring.
• Coordinate with NYU MCIT EDW team for data warehouse updates.
• Ensure data governance, HIPAA compliance, and security controls.
• Collaborate with biostatisticians and ML experts to prepare data for modeling.
• Develop and validate ML/AI models for translational research.
