Job summary

UKG is seeking a Principal, Data/Analytics and Benchmarking to build the analytical foundation for enterprise planning, performance management, and strategic initiative decisions. Qualifications

• 7+ years in enterprise business operations, data analytics, data science, strategic finance, or related quantitative field
• Experience using data and external benchmarks to diagnose performance and develop recommendations
• Advanced proficiency with Excel and data querying, modeling, or visualization tools (SQL/Power BI/Tableau/Python)
• Experience with AI to drive automated reporting and dashboarding
• Experience converting analyses into executive-ready presentations and concise written recommendations
• Experience with SaaS/enterprise software and performance metrics
• Experience building benchmarking libraries, metric taxonomies, data dictionaries, or governed dashboards
• Ability to communicate with senior leaders and non-technical stakeholders
• Advanced degree in analytics, data science, finance, statistics, or related discipline, MBA preferred

Responsibilities

• Define the data, analytics, and benchmarking roadmap for enterprise planning and transformation
• Establish consistent metric definitions, calculation logic, data sources, and documentation
• Collaborate with Enterprise Systems, Finance, and functional teams to collect and reconcile data
• Conduct internal and external benchmarking to identify performance gaps and opportunities
• Build models, scenarios, dashboards, and scorecards revealing trends and sensitivities
• Translate analyses into executive-ready narratives and visualizations with clear recommendations
• Partner with Finance and owners to resolve data quality issues and strengthen governance
• Lead high-priority ad-hoc analyses delivering defensible recommendations on tight timelines
