Job summary

Zane State College in Ohio is seeking an Institutional Research Strategic Data Analyst to collect, analyze, and interpret data to support planning and decision making. This is a full-time, twelve-month exempt professional staff position with a competitive salary.

You will use SQL, Power BI, Power Query, InfoMaker, and Excel to develop queries and reports, create dashboards, and assist with state and federal reporting.

Qualifications

• Associate degree required; Bachelor’s preferred in a related field.
• Minimum of one year of experience querying, validating, and reporting data.
• Experience in higher education and with Jenzabar One preferred.
• Strong analytical, organizational, written, and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to communicate complex data to a wide variety of technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Knowledge of data querying, analysis, and presentation tools; experience with SQL, Power BI, Power Query, and Excel.

Responsibilities

• Analyze and report data from internal and external sources to support planning and decision-making.
• Develop, maintain, and update queries and reports using SQL, Power BI, Power Query, InfoMaker, and Excel.
• Create dashboards and data visualizations to inform decision-making across the institution.
• Prepare, validate, and report official institutional data to internal and external stakeholders.
• Coordinate with offices across the institution to ensure data integrity and reporting compliance.
• Serve as an information resource for campus initiatives and committees.
• Document data sources, locations, query logic, tools, and resolutions.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
