Job summary

You will join Youngstown State University to collect, analyze, and report data across academic and administrative areas, crafting regular and ad hoc reports to meet external and internal needs. You will design interactive dashboards in Power BI to support planning and decision-making, leveraging SQL (PL/SQL, Oracle) for data extraction and insights.

Responsibilities include developing ETL/workflow automation, establishing governance, and delivering data-driven insights to inform enrollment

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in data analytics, data science, statistics, math, or computer science.
• At least two years of experience in data analysis and reporting.
• Experience with Power BI or a similar BI tool.
• Experience with SQL for data extraction, analysis, and reporting.
• Experience working in a higher education environment.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, validate, and submit institutional reports (IPEDS, HEI, CDS, etc.).
• Design, develop, and maintain Power BI dashboards for decision-making.
• Query large datasets with SQL (PL/SQL, Oracle) and extract insights.
• Build and maintain workflow automation for ETL and reporting.
• Establish data governance and data quality across sources.
• Support continuous quality improvement for reporting and analytics.
• Collaborate with departments to implement data governance practices.
• Document data procedures and reporting standards for consistency.
