Job summary

Staples is seeking a Senior Director, Data Product and AI Delivery to lead the enterprise data and AI strategy, portfolio governance, and multi-year roadmaps. You will drive production AI capabilities and modernize data platforms across Supply Chain, Marketplace, and other business workflows.

You will collaborate with executives to translate business priorities into scalable solutions, champion responsible AI, and build high-performing teams capable of delivering measurable value.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in CS, IS, Data Science, Engineering, Business, or related field.
• 12+ years in data products, data platforms, analytics, AI, or digital transformation.
• 7+ years of formal people management experience.
• 5+ years leading Directors, Senior Managers, or equivalent leaders.
• 5+ years leading enterprise-scale transformation, product portfolio, platform modernization, or AI delivery initiatives.
• Experience owning multi-year data, AI, platform, or digital product strategy with governance and outcomes.
• Experience delivering production data, analytics, automation, ML, or AI capabilities with measurable outcomes.
• Experience presenting strategy, investment, portfolio, or risk to VP level or higher.

Responsibilities

• Define and execute the enterprise strategy and multi-year roadmap for data products, platforms, ML, and AI.
• Translate priorities into product portfolios, investment plans, objectives, delivery roadmaps, and measurable outcomes.
• Own the data and AI product lifecycle from intake and funding through adoption and retirement.
• Prioritize investments based on strategic alignment, value, feasibility, risk, and TCO.
• Translate AI strategy into production-ready applications for key business workflows.
• Partner with leaders to deliver scalable data and AI solutions across functions.
• Establish enterprise standards and governance for data products, privacy, security, and model governance.
• Guide modernization of cloud data and AI platforms and observability.
• Monitor portfolio delivery, adoption, reliability, and realized business value.
• Develop multi-year investment and capacity plans, and vendor roadmaps.
