Job summary

Willson International Limited seeks a Senior Customs & Trade Consultant – U.S. to lead client engagements, interpret regulations, and drive onboarding excellence. You’ll interface with executives and operations, building strong relationships while delivering compliant, efficient solutions.

You will support the sales cycle, refine our trade advisory methodologies, and mentor staff, ensuring consistency across engagements with a focus on accuracy and timeliness.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma is required.
• Degree in Business Administration or Project Management is a plus.
• Licensed U.S. Customs Broker is required.
• Certified Customs Specialist is a plus.
• 5+ years in customs brokerage with client onboarding or account management.
• Strong knowledge of U.S. import/export regulations and HTS classification.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Proficiency in customs brokerage software and MS Office.
• Strong organizational and project management abilities.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.

Responsibilities

• New account onboarding as the primary contact during the transition phase.
• Review and validate import/export documentation for CBP and other agencies.
• Configure account-specific workflows, EDI setups, and reporting tools.
• Educate clients on customs procedures and system usage.
• Identify and resolve onboarding issues; escalate complex matters as needed.
• Maintain accurate records of onboarding activities and communications.
• Provide feedback to improve onboarding processes.
• Assist in data mapping for integrated solutions and training.
• Develop and nurture strategic client relationships for growth and retention.
• Oversee administrative functions related to staff management.
