Job summary

SEKO Logistics in Schaumburg, IL seeks a Customs Brokerage Director to lead our U.S. customs operations, ensure CBP compliance, and drive strategic risk management across air, ocean, and cross-border shipments.

You will mentor managers, oversee KPI reporting, and collaborate with Sales, Operations, and clients while managing the brokerage P&L. This role demands strong regulatory knowledge and proven leadership in a high-volume environment.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree is required; seven years’ related experience in customs brokerage; five years supervisory experience preferred.
Strong knowledge of U.S. customs regulations, HTS, origin, and import/export processes.
Experience with CargoWise or Descartes and cross-border e-commerce operations.

Responsibilities

Set product priorities and a multi-year roadmap for CHB with leadership across teams.
Oversee customs clearance processes to ensure CBP compliance and timely entry filing.
Lead compliance, risk management, and KPIs for the brokerage department.
Manage financials of the department including budgeting, forecasting, and expenses.
Act as front-line liaison with CBP, ports, and industry partners.
