Job summary

Altos Labs is seeking a Senior Manager/Manager for CRO and KOL Alliances in San Diego. The role oversees external R&D partnerships, from scoping studies with CROs to management of KOL networks, ensuring high-quality, cost-efficient research programs.

You will lead the onboarding, governance, and strategic direction of external partners, aligning translational goals with clinical and regulatory pathways while coordinating with legal, procurement, and finance to optimize spend and outcomes.

Qualifications

• Advanced degree in life sciences preferred; BS with significant relevant experience considered.
• 5+ years biotech/pharma experience, with CROs/KOLs engagement or external in vivo studies.
• Proven track record in external partnerships, EABs, and translational strategy.

Responsibilities

• Identify and manage external CROs and KOLs across translational, clinical, and regulatory programs.
• Lead CRO engagement lifecycle from scoping to contract award and data review.
• Oversee budgeting, forecasting, and vendor governance for outsourced studies.
• Coordinate study objectives, timelines, and deliverables with cross-functional teams.
• Negotiate MSAs, SOWs, and consulting agreements in collaboration with Legal and Procurement.
