Job summary

Smith is seeking a Credit KYC Compliance Analyst to support informed credit decisions and regulatory compliance. You will validate legal-entity information, ownership structures, financial standing, and sanctions exposure for new and existing counterparties.

You will conduct enhanced due diligence for high-risk accounts, review corporate documentation, and document risk assessments with clear findings and recommended actions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required in finance, accounting, business or related field.
• 3+ years of experience in commercial credit, KYC/AML or related.
• Advanced Excel and proficiency with business systems or research tools.
• Able to review corporate documents and identify ownership/control relationships.

Responsibilities

• Conduct KYC and credit due diligence for new and existing counterparties.
• Review corporate documents: formations, registrations, tax docs, ownership charts.
• Identify ultimate beneficial owners and control relationships.
• Perform sanctions/PEP/watchlist checks and escalate concerns.
• Assess counterparty creditworthiness using financial data and references.
• Prepare risk assessments and escalation memoranda with findings and actions.
• Maintain audit-ready KYC, credit, and screening docs in systems.
