Job summary

Reece & Fortiline is seeking a Credit Account Manager to manage the accounts receivable portfolio, assess credit and collection needs, and contact past-due customers to improve cash flow. This role involves reviewing credit limits, researching discrepancies, and coordinating with branches and sales teams.

Strong communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills are required, with experience in credit or collections in distribution/manufacturing a plus.

Qualifications

• Customer service mindset and strong communication are essential.
• Able to work independently and manage tasks with accuracy.
• Experience in collections or credit management in wholesale, distribution, or manufacturing helps.
• Proficiency with Windows, Microsoft Office, and Excel for daily work.

Responsibilities

• Analyze information from customers and credit services.
• Approve credit limits within authority for unsecured and cured risk.
• Monitor aging accounts and determine actions needed.
• Perform collection calls and manage lien/bond timelines.
• Reconcile short pays and disputed payments with branches and sales.
• Coordinate with collection agencies and initiate legal action when needed.
• Communicate with regional/branch teams and sales personnel on collection matters.
• Visit customers and branches as required.
