Ashurst Perkins Coie US LLP seeks a Counsel, Commercial Contracts to provide strategic legal counsel across the procurement contracting pipeline. The role negotiates a high volume of services, confidentiality, SaaS, licenses, events, HR/benefits, technical, and AI-related contracts.

You'll collaborate with Legal, Procurement, IT, Marketing, and HR to ensure risk-based agreements aligned with firm standards. Hybrid work and strong growth opportunities are offered.

• Draft and negotiate supplier and technology contracts for global orgs.
• Understand contract terms, regulatory requirements, IT and data handling.
• Communicate clearly across levels and stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Draft, negotiate, and review a wide variety of commercial and technical contracts.
• Partner across the firm to streamline procurement and contracting processes.
• Ensure contract intake is complete and business-ready for review.
• Support Procurement with SLAs, training, and playbooks.
• Advise on supplier contracts, risk, terms, and disputes.
• Escalate complex legal and risk matters to appropriate counsel.
• Develop and maintain supplier contracting policies and templates.
• Monitor legal developments and update practices accordingly.
• Support contracting training and knowledge-sharing firm-wide.
• Foster a collaborative, high-performing team environment.
