Job summary

State of Connecticut Department of Social Services is seeking a Principal Cost Analyst for the Division of Health Services in Hartford to lead cost analysis for Medicaid reimbursement and related programs.

You will supervise accountants, plan workflows, develop cost models, and provide financial insights to support policy and rate setting; strong cost accounting, budgeting, and GAAP knowledge are essential.

Qualifications

• Eight (8) years of experience in technical work in cost accounting or fiscal management.
• One (1) year of General Experience in advanced professional capacity recommending cost funding policies in medical, intergovernmental or quasi-public settings.
• College training may be substituted for General Experience (15 semester hours = 1/2 year, max 4 years for a Bachelor's).
• A Master's degree may substitute for one additional year of General Experience.
• Certification as a CPA may substitute for one additional year of General Experience.
