Cumming Group in the South Bay is seeking a Cost Manager to oversee cost management across a diverse portfolio, including education, commercial interiors, and semiconductor projects. You will develop budgets, build unit costs, review change orders, and lead cost-estimating efforts while engaging with subcontractors, clients, and cross-functional teams.

Qualifications

• BS in Construction, Cost & Commercial Management or related field.
• 3+ years post-degree experience in cost management.
• Working toward MRICS/AssocRICS/CCP/CEP/CPE or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Develop budget estimates from plans, specs or concept information.
• Review scope of work and define it from project documents.
• Build unit costs based on labor and material rates.
• Assess market conditions and solicit feedback where applicable.
• Develop and nurture subcontractor and client relationships.
• Prepare and deliver summary analysis for assigned scope.
• Evaluate change orders and peer review estimates.
• Assist with ongoing cost management processes.
• Review, quantify, and assess change orders.
• Understand commercial contract terms.
• Participate in local industry events.
• Lead development of estimates under supervision.
• Attend work during normal business hours.
