Job summary

Molex, a Koch company, seeks a Strategic Cost Analyst in Rochester Hills, MI to drive cost transparency and profitability for the Networking cable assembly portfolio. You will model costs, identify drivers, and partner across Product Management, Sourcing, Plant Finance, and Engineering to guide pricing, portfolio and investment decisions.

You will build repeatable cost tools, translate financial data into actionable insights, and influence decisions that improve competitiveness and margins

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Engineering, Supply Chain, Manufacturing, Economics, Data Analytics, or a related field; or equivalent experience.
• Demonstrated experience in product costing, manufacturing cost estimation, operations finance, financial analysis, pricing, or a related discipline.
• Strong financial and economic acumen connecting operational drivers to revenue, margin, cash flow and ROI.
• Advanced analytical and modeling skills for complex/partial data into decision-ready insights.
• Advanced proficiency in Excel and experience with enterprise financial systems.

Responsibilities

• Serve as cost modeling and profitability analytics expert for CMSBU Networking cable assembly portfolio.
• Partner with Product Management, Sourcing, Plant Finance, Corporate Finance, Engineering and Operations to improve cost transparency and estimating accuracy.
• Develop repeatable tools to support pricing, portfolio decisions, footprint and investment decisions.
• Embed cost insight into quotations and RFQ decisions with clear cost assumptions and risks.
• Evaluate pricing alternatives and quote strategies balancing competitiveness and value.
• Build cost views and conduct scenario analyses for volume, commodity, labor, and exchange rate.
• Support make-versus-buy, regionalization and manufacturing footprint decisions.
