Job summary

Colonial Group is seeking a Senior Cost Accounting Analyst to manage cost accounting, inventory, and product costing in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. The role partners with Plant Controllers, Procurement, and Operations to provide financial insight and maintain GAAP compliance.

Responsibilities include month-end close, cost variance analysis, standard costs maintenance, and support for audits and budgets, with cross-functional collaboration to drive cost transparency and process

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
3–6 years of cost accounting experience in manufacturing.
CPA or CMA certification is a plus.

Responsibilities

Own cost accounting month-end and year-end close, including journal entries and reconciliations.
Analyze material, labor, and overhead variances; explain drivers and ensure GAAP compliance.
Support product costing, standard costs, BOMs, routings, and overhead rate maintenance.
Prepare recurring and ad hoc journal entries related to cost updates and cost of goods sold.
Investigate, resolve, and communicate variances and reconciling items in a timely manner.
Coordinate with Plant Management, Procurement, Sourcing, and Industrial Engineering on cost initiatives.
