Job summary

AscendArc is seeking a Cost Accounting Manager to own and build the standard costing system for a high‑complexity hardware business. You will design inventory valuation, manage WIP, and drive the cost side of month‑end close while partnering with FP&A, Engineering, Manufacturing, and Supply Chain.

You will also support budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis, develop auditable cost models in NetSuite, and help communicate performance to leadership and investors.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• 6+ years of accounting experience with manufacturing cost accounting and FP&A exposure.
• Strong command of standard costing, inventory valuation, WIP, and variance analysis.
• Hands-on ERP experience; NetSuite strongly preferred.
• Advanced Excel and financial modeling; auditable models.
• Must build processes in a developing function.
• U.S. Person as defined under ITAR (22 CFR 120.62) for access to controlled data.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and own standard costing system for hardware builds.
• Own inventory valuation and control across raw materials, WIP, finished goods.
• Own cost side of month-end close: COGS, capex vs expense, WIP roll-forward, variance analysis.
• Integrate cost data across PLM, MES, and NetSuite to provide a single cost picture.
• Support budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis with auditable models.
• Partner with FP&A, Engineering, Manufacturing, and Supply Chain.
