Job summary

AscendArc seeks a Cost Accounting Manager to own cost accounting for a complex hardware manufacturer. You will design and operate the cost system, establish standard costs and inventory valuation, and lead the cost side of month-end close across materials and WIP.

You will also support budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis for leadership, the board, and investors. The role partners with Engineering, Manufacturing, and Supply Chain and requires hands-on ERP experience, strong Excel

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
6+ years of accounting experience with manufacturing cost accounting.
Strong command of standard costing, inventory valuation, WIP accounting, and manufacturing variance analysis.
Hands-on ERP experience; NetSuite strongly preferred.
Advanced Excel and financial modeling skills.

Responsibilities

Design, implement, and own the standard costing system, including BOM, routing costs, labor and overhead rates.
Own inventory valuation and control across RM, WIP, FG; reconciliations and cycle counts.
Own cost side of month-end close: COGS, capex vs. expense, WIP roll-forward, variance analysis.
Integrate cost data across PLM, MES, and NetSuite for a single cost picture.
Establish cost accounting policies, procedures and internal controls for an audit-ready environment.
