Job summary

MACOM, based in Lowell, MA, is seeking a Cost Accountant to support manufacturing costing, inventory accounting, and SOX controls. The role requires SAP proficiency, advanced Excel skills, and the ability to manage high-volume close processes.

Ideal candidates will have a BA/BS in Accounting or Finance and 3+ years of progressive accounting experience, including hands-on SAP. This position offers growth, RSU eligibility, and a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• Three or more years of progressive accounting experience.
• At least two years of hands-on SAP accounting experience.
• Strong accounting fundamentals and analytical skills.

Responsibilities

• Support product costing in SAP, including BOMs, routings, and activity rates.
• Analyze manufacturing variances, inventory activity, cycle counts, and valuation.
• Prepare journal entries, reconciliations, and close documentation.
• Assist with forecast, budgeting, and financial reporting.
• Research SAP data issues and support process improvements.
