Job summary

CFS in Norcross, GA, is hiring a Cost Accountant to drive cost analysis and profitability insights in a manufacturing setting. You will partner with operations, engineering, sales, and finance to own costing, inventory, forecasting, and financial reporting, influencing pricing and margin decisions through data-driven models.

The role offers exposure to executive leadership and opportunities to lead process improvements across inventory controls, fixed assets, compliance, audits, and forecasting

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• 5+ years of accounting experience in manufacturing/industrial settings.
• Strong cost accounting, inventory management, and financial analysis skills.
• Experience with month-end close, budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills required.

Responsibilities

• Analyze production, material, labor, and overhead costs to identify savings opportunities.
• Monitor job profitability and report variances to management.
• Oversee inventory valuation, counts, aging, and reserve calculations.
• Support month-end close, journal entries, and financial reporting.
• Develop and maintain costing processes, systems, and reporting tools.
• Partner with departments on forecasting, budgeting, and compliance.
• Provide financial analysis and recommendations to support business objectives.
• Assist with process improvement initiatives to enhance performance.
