Job summary

Brandon & Clark, Inc. is seeking a Cost Accountant to support the full accounting cycle, drive accurate month-end close, and strengthen accounts payable and reconciliations as the company scales.

Based in Lubbock, TX, the role reports to the Executive Director of Finance and partners with the broader finance team to improve processes and provide timely financial insights. This is a full-time, on-site position offering opportunities to contribute to pricing strategy and multi-entity accounting

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting required.
• 3–5 years of progressive accounting experience.
• Strong knowledge of GAAP and accrual accounting.
• Advanced Excel and ERP proficiency with data analytics and communication.
• Experience closing month-end under deadlines.
• Hands-on accounts payable, PO matching and invoicing.
• Proven account reconciliations skills.
• Experience submitting invoices via Ariba/OpenTicket/OpenInvoice portals.

Responsibilities

• Perform accrual-based accounting per GAAP.
• Own portions of the month-end close to deadlines.
• Support journal entries, accruals, and general ledger maintenance.
• Manage accounts payable including PO matching and invoicing.
• Prepare and review account reconciliations (bank and balance sheet).
• Assist with audit preparation and documentation.
• Forecast expenses to build operational budgets.
• Conduct variance analysis comparing budgets to actuals.
