Job summary

Stinker Stores in Boise, Idaho invites an experienced Corporate Controller to lead the accounting operations of a growing multi-entity organization. You will oversee day-to-day accounting, month-end close, financial reporting, internal controls, payroll oversight, and the systems that support our Finance Team.

Partner with the CFO and leaders to provide timely financial information, strengthen processes, reduce risk, and ensure our practices align with growth.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field.
• 8-10 years of progressive accounting experience with leadership responsibility.
• Strong knowledge of GAAP, general ledger, financial reporting, reconciliations, and internal controls.
• Experience managing month-end and year-end close processes.
• Experience developing and improving accounting processes and internal controls.
• Experience with ERP and financial reporting systems.
• Ability to analyze complex financial information and communicate findings clearly.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities.
• Successfully pass a background check.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop the accounting team, setting clear expectations and accountability.
• Oversee month-end and year-end close, including journal entries, reconciliations, and general ledger activity.
• Ensure accurate financial reporting and integrity of records across entities.
• Review payroll activity and maintain accounting controls.
• Prepare information for bank reporting, audits, tax, and other reporting needs.
• Maintain internal controls, reduce risk, and improve efficiency.
• Oversee financial systems, upgrades, testing, and security.
• Collaborate with IT and other departments on financial technology and vendor relationships.
• Communicate financial information effectively to both operational and non-financial leaders.
