Job summary

S3 AeroDefense LLC is seeking a Corporate Controller to own daily transactional accounting across AP, AR, payroll, GL, and intercompany. This hands-on leadership role will guide system optimization, internal controls, and audit readiness as the company grows through acquisitions.

You will lead a multifunctional accounting team, partner with FP&A, and help standardize processes across multiple entities and ERPs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• 10+ years of progressive accounting experience, including time as a Controller leading transactional accounting operations (AP, AR, payroll, GL).
• Demonstrated ownership of a scalable internal control environment and coordination of external audits.
• Strong ERP experience and a track record of process improvement and automation.
• Proven people-leadership experience managing an accounting team across functions and locations.
• Excellent communication skills, translating accounting matters for finance and non-finance stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end transactional accounting: AP, AR, payroll, GL, intercompany processing.
• Deliver clean sub-ledgers on schedule to enable monthly close and reporting.
• Own account reconciliations across cash, AR, AP, inventory, and intercompany.
• Design, document, and operate a scalable control framework (SOX-ready).
• Lead the accounting integration of acquired entities and support due diligence.
• Build a repeatable accounting-integration playbook for multiple acquisitions.
