Job summary

FINRA in Washington, DC, seeks a Senior Associate in Corporate Communications to support the organization’s communications function. The role develops and distributes messages across traditional, digital, and online channels while providing light administrative support to the Corporate Communications team.

The Senior Associate will report to the SVP of Communications and work with cross-functional teams to inform employees, financial institutions, the media, and stakeholders about FINRA's

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Communications, Journalism, Public Relations, Public Affairs, or related field.
• Minimum of two (2) years of professional experience in a communications, public affairs, or related environment.

Responsibilities

• Supports the SVP of Communications and the Corporate Communications team in implementing communications initiatives and executing communications plans.
• Writes, edits, and develops communications materials including newsletters, media releases, pitches, social media content, presentations, and other messaging across channels.
• Researches and gathers information from industry, media, public, consumer, and governmental sources to support content development.
• Assists with development, review, and distribution of materials by compiling information and updating content.
• Supports planning and coordination of campaigns, promotions, and events through scheduling and logistics.
• Coordinates with business partners and cross-functional teams to support projects and information gathering.
• Provides administrative support to the Corporate Communications team, including scheduling and document prep.
• Demonstrates FINRA's values and collaborates with teams to advance investor protection and market integrity.
