FINRA's Director of Strategic Business Communications within Market and Regulatory Services and Technology leads external communications strategies, translating complex financial technology initiatives into clear messages for diverse audiences and stakeholders.

As a senior advisor, you will shape enterprise storytelling, collaborate with executives, monitor reputational risk, and drive engagement through earned and paid channels, aligning with enterprise priorities and regulatory landscape.

Qualifications

• Proven ability to develop, execute, and measure strategic communications plans that advance business objectives and enterprise priorities.
• Significant corporate, agency, financial services, and/or Capitol Hill experience preferred.
• Demonstrated experience providing strategic communications counsel to senior executives on high‑profile initiatives.
• Exceptional writing, editing, and storytelling skills; translate complex information into clear messages.
• Ability to influence and build relationships across all levels of a large organization.

Responsabilités

• Develop and execute external communications strategies, go‑to‑market plans, messaging, and events aligned to enterprise priorities.
• Serve as strategic liaison between business units and Corp Comm Center of Excellence.
• Create communications plans by aligning with annual plans, priorities, and challenges.
• Collaborate with media, executive communications, web, social, and internal teams to shape strategy for new initiatives.
• Translate technical initiatives into audience‑focused content across channels to strengthen the external reputation.
• Enhance enterprise storytelling and gold source messaging owned by Corp Comm.
• Maintain regular touchpoints with business unit leaders to identify new opportunities and provide advisory support.
• Represent Corp Comm in publications and high‑visibility events; advise on reputational risk mitigation.
• Mentor colleagues on communications best practices and approaches for sensitive issues.
• Demonstrate FINRA values and collaborate across teams to advance investor protection and market integrity.
