Job summary

Weatherford’s Communications Manager supports the development and delivery of internal and external communications programs to maintain the company’s profile and brand. The role involves managing initiatives for internal customers, corporate communications and the Executive Leadership Team, plus content across social media and the website.

The candidate should be creative, proactive, and detail oriented, with strong writing and editing abilities and the capacity to collaborate across departments

Qualifications

• 6-8 years of proven experience in communications, preferably with a corporate or agency environment.
• Bachelor’s degree in degree in communications, public relations, marketing, business, or equivalent.
• Ability to execute communications plans.
• Excellent written and verbal business communication skills, including the ability to proof content before it is published to internal and external channels.
• Excellent organizational and project management skills, with the ability to juggle and prioritize multiple projects simultaneously.

Responsibilities

• Support Corporate Communications in developing strategic communications for internal campaigns and programs for multiple departments.
• Write, edit, and script content while coordinating with designers to create final products.
• Schedule communications across internal platforms and track readership and engagement metrics.
• Assist with external publications such as annual reports and sustainability reports.
• Support media relations activities, including writing press releases and coordinating interviews.
• Assist with tradeshow communications plans and post-event coverage.
