Job summary

Law is seeking an experienced Corporate Associate Attorney to join its Corporate Practice Group in the western suburbs of Chicago. This role offers the opportunity to handle sophisticated business transactions, own client matters, and build a robust corporate practice in a collaborative environment.

You will work on mergers and acquisitions, debt and equity offerings, and strategic restructurings, with meaningful client interaction and ongoing business development training to support

Qualifications

• 3+ years of corporate law experience.
• Experience with mergers and acquisitions, divestitures, restructurings, and commercial transactions.
• Knowledge of entity formation, corporate structuring, debt and equity offerings, and general corporate matters.
• Excellent drafting, negotiation, and analytical skills.
• Strong academic background.
• Ability to manage matters independently and lead projects.
• Strong work ethic, attention to detail, and commitment to exceptional client service.
• Excellent communication skills and a desire for significant client interaction.

Responsibilities

• Handle mergers and acquisitions, divestitures, and other complex business transactions.
• Advise clients on debt and equity offerings, restructurings, and corporate matters.
• Assist with entity selection, formation, and corporate structuring.
• Draft, review, and negotiate sophisticated commercial agreements.
• Manage client relationships and take ownership of significant matters.
• Lead teams on projects and collaborate with colleagues to deliver high-quality legal services.
• Support business development initiatives and contribute to the continued growth of the practice.
