Job summary

The ideal candidate has 5+ years of progressive accounting experience, solid GAAP understanding, and proficiency with Excel and an ERP system. ASC 606/842 familiarity is a plus but not required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• 5+ years of progressive accounting experience.
• Experience with ASC 606 & 842 preferred, not required.
• Strong GAAP knowledge and full accounting cycle.
• Experience with month-end close, journal entries, and reconciliations.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Experience with an ERP or other accounting system.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.

Responsibilities

• Take ownership of key areas of the monthly, quarterly, and year‑end close.
• Prepare and post journal entries, accruals, and account reconciliations.
• Analyze balance sheet and income statement accounts for accuracy.
• Assist with the preparation of monthly financial statements and management reporting.
• Research and explain budget‑to‑actual and period‑over‑period variances.
• Maintain supporting schedules for fixed assets, prepaid expenses, accruals, and other accounts.
• Support annual audits and provide documentation requested by external auditors.
• Help strengthen internal controls and ensure compliance with accounting policies.
• Partner with operational leaders to resolve accounting questions and improve financial visibility.
• Identify opportunities to streamline processes, improve reporting, and increase efficiency.
