Qualifications

• 3+ years of previous Hotel Convention Service Manager experience required.
• Must be able to communicate in English.
• Self-starting personality with an even disposition.
• Maintain a professional appearance and manner at all times.
• Must be available to work a flexible schedule to include nights, holidays and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the overall efficient operation of the Convention Services Department and coordinate assigned convention or meeting groups.
• Perform administrative duties relevant to account responsibilities in compliance with corporate guidelines.
• Coordinate activities of departments to service accounts, such as directing room service in VIP amenities delivery.
• Resolve problems and maintain open communication.
• Coordinate and monitor guest room blocks and special reservation needs with sales, front office, banquets, and reservations.
• Assign banquet/meeting rooms setups based on client needs and review staff work for accuracy.
• Plan and conduct pre- and post-convention meetings with clients and departments.
• Document tracking of group activity and input data to generate account history reports.
• Communicate directions to staff clearly and ensure attendance rules are followed.
