Job summary

SkyWater Search Partners is seeking an experienced Controller to move from public accounting into an operational leadership role within a fast-growing financial services company in the west metro. You will head the management company accounting function and oversee collaborations across Tax, Risk and Compliance.

The role requires leading month-end close, consolidations, internal controls and process improvements while coaching a 3–4 person team.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of progressive accounting experience.
• Active CPA.
• Public accounting experience strongly preferred.
• Financial services experience (alternative investments) required.
• Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP and financial reporting.
• Experience working with complex and/or multi-entity organizations.
• Strong communication skills and executive presence.
• Genuine interest in management company accounting and broader operational accounting leadership.

Responsibilities

• Lead the management company accounting function.
• Oversee month-end close and financial reporting across multiple entities.
• Manage consolidations and intercompany accounting.
• Provide guidance around technical accounting matters and accounting policies.
• Maintain and enhance internal controls.
• Partner with external auditors.
• Drive process improvements and automation.
• Partner cross-functionally with teams throughout the organization.
• Provide crossover support to the fund accounting function.
• Lead, coach and develop a team of 3–4.
