Job summary

Butterball Farms, Inc. is seeking a Controller to lead accounting operations, ensure accuracy of financial reporting, and support growth initiatives.

You will partner with the CFO and operations leaders to drive internal controls, cost accounting, and scalable financial processes across the organization. The role includes overseeing month-end closes, financial planning, audit coordination, and ERP system leadership, with emphasis on manufacturing cost accounting and integration efforts for

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting is required.
• CPA preferred but not mandatory.
• 7–10 years of progressive accounting experience.
• 3+ years of supervisory experience preferred.
• ERP experience; Sage X3 experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes with timely, accurate reporting.
• Prepare and review monthly financial statements, reconciliations, and schedules.
• Maintain general ledger integrity and chart of accounts.
• Oversee AR/AP, cash management, and general accounting functions.
• Develop accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls.
• Support budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning with the CFO.
• Lead or support ERP implementations and process improvements.
• Provide financial analysis and decision support to operations leadership.
