RRM Design Group is seeking a seasoned Controller to lead the accounting department, mentor a high-performing team, and support sustainable growth. Reporting to the COO, you will shape financial strategy, strengthen systems, and advance our ESOP-driven culture.

The role emphasizes financial leadership across project accounting, cash forecasting, and process improvements, with collaboration across leadership to execute strategic plans. This is an on-site leadership role within California offices.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance required.
• 10 years of accounting/finance experience, 5–6 years as a controller.
• Experience with project accounting.
• Proven mentoring and team-building track record.
• Strong leadership, analytical and communication skills.

Responsabilités

• Lead, manage, and develop the accounting team including Project Accounting, Payroll, AP/AR, and Collections.
• Collaborate with principals, market leaders, and management to support strategic goals.
• Develop and oversee annual budgets and planning structures.
• Prepare accurate month-end and year-end close financial statements.
• Manage cash flow analysis and forecasting.
• Drive continuous improvement of software, processes, and best practices.
