Job summary

CFS, a well-established, privately owned company with 30+ years in business, is seeking a Controller to join its Appleton team. You will lead month-end close, financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and partner with senior leadership to drive strategic financial initiatives.

You will oversee accounting operations across multiple entities, mentor the accounting team, ensure cost controls, and support continued growth across locations.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of accounting experience with previous leadership or management experience.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred.
• Experience within construction, manufacturing, distribution, or other project-based industries strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead the month-end close process and oversee the preparation of accurate monthly financial statements.
• Support budgeting, forecasting, financial planning, and provide insights to improve business performance.
• Serve as a strategic business partner to leadership by identifying opportunities for cost savings, process improvements, and operational efficiencies.
• Oversee accounting operations including job costing, financial reporting, tax preparation, and union payroll.
• Manage and mentor the accounting team while overseeing financial activities for multiple business entities.
