Job summary

Mary Dickson is seeking an experienced Controller to lead the accounting team and oversee all financial operations for a growing education organization with multi-state presence. You will manage month-end close, budgeting, forecasting, and audits while partnering with CFO and ownership.

The ideal candidate has 10+ years of leadership in accounting, deep GAAP knowledge, and strong communication skills. Proficiency in Sage Intacct and Campus Cloud is a plus; CPA/CMA is preferred.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of accounting leadership experience with strong U.S. GAAP knowledge.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Business Administration required; CPA/CMA preferred.
• Experience leading month-end/quarter-end close, budgets, forecasts, and audits.
• Proficiency with Sage Intacct and Campus Cloud a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop a team of three Accountants and one Accounts Payable Clerk.
• Oversee monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting.
• Lead month-end and year-end closing processes.
• Manage annual budgets and financial forecasts.
• Analyze results and variances; provide insights to CFO/ownership.
• Coordinate annual GAAP audits with external auditors.
• Strengthen internal controls and ledger accuracy.
• Drive process improvements across accounting workflows.
