Job summary

WLRC Medical in Windsor Mill, MD is seeking an experienced Controller to lead the accounting team, manage the monthly close, and oversee GAAP-compliant reporting across multiple entities. This senior role drives ERP strategy, data integrity, and acquisition integration to support ongoing growth.

Reporting to the CFO, you will shape policies, manage audits, and build scalable processes while guiding a high-performing team in a fast-paced multi-state ambulance and medical transportation

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting or related field.
• 5+ years progressive accounting experience with responsibility growth.
• 3+ years leading accounting teams.
• Strong technical accounting and GAAP foundation.
• Experience with external audits.
• Experience with multi-entity consolidation and intercompany accounting.
• ERP implementation or significant accounting-systems improvement experience.

Responsibilities

• Own monthly, quarterly, and annual close and financial statement prep.
• Ensure accurate, timely reporting across multiple entities.
• Oversee general ledger, reconciliations, accruals, AP, fixed assets, intercompany accounting, and consolidations.
• Maintain GAAP policies and consistent application.
• Partner with CFO on revenue accounting, reserves, and significant estimates.
• Lead accounting team and develop scalable processes.
• Prepare for external financial statement audits and serve as primary contact.
• Define and influence future ERP strategy and system capabilities.
• Support financial integration of acquisitions and growth initiatives.
