Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance required.
• 8+ years of progressive accounting experience with at least 3 years in a leadership role.
• Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP, financial reporting, and internal controls.
• Experience managing and developing accounting teams.
• Proven ability to lead month-end and year-end close processes.
• Experience working with ERP systems and advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving abilities.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to interact across all levels of the organization.

Responsibilities

• Lead, mentor, and develop a team of accounting professionals, including setting goals, providing coaching, and conducting performance reviews.
• Oversee all aspects of the monthly, quarterly, and annual close process.
• Ensure timely and accurate preparation of financial statements in accordance with U.S. GAAP.
• Review and approve journal entries, account reconciliations, and other accounting transactions.
• Manage the general ledger and maintain the integrity of financial records.
• Establish, monitor, and improve internal controls and accounting policies.
• Coordinate annual audits and serve as the primary liaison with external auditors.
• Oversee accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, treasury, and cash management functions.
• Provide financial analysis and reporting to executive leadership.
• Support budgeting, forecasting, and strategic planning initiatives.
• Identify opportunities for process improvements and system enhancements to increase efficiency and scalability.
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.
• Partner with department leaders to provide financial guidance and support operational objectives.
