Job summary

Milton CAT, based in Milford, MA, seeks a strategic, hands-on Controller to lead corporate accounting for a multi-state organization with approximately 1,600 employees and over $1.5 billion in revenue. The role reports to the Director of Financial Accounting and focuses on accurate financial reporting, internal controls, and process optimization.

You will mentor and develop a high-performing team, ensure GAAP compliance, and drive technology-enabled improvements to shorten monthly/annual close

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance required; CPA strongly preferred.
• Minimum 2 years’ experience as a Controller in a large, complex organization with significant revenue.
• Strong knowledge of GAAP and accounting procedures.

Responsibilities

• Lead all aspects of the accounting function, ensuring accuracy and timeliness of GL activity and financial reporting.
• Mentor and lead a high-performing accounting team.
• Ensure transactions are GAAP-compliant and documented.
• Identify and implement process improvements and technology to shorten close cycles.
• Oversee external audit coordination and readiness.
