Job summary

UniWyo Credit Union is seeking an experienced accounting professional to lead the Finance Department under general supervision. The role covers preparing and analyzing financial records, maintaining the general ledger, and ensuring accuracy and compliance with GAAP and banking regulations.

You will supervise staff, coordinate audit processes, manage internal controls, and work with vendors and management to optimize financial operations and reporting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in banking, accounting, management, finance or closely related field with 5 years of relevant accounting or banking experience.
• Proficient in word processing and spreadsheet software.
• Knowledge of GAAP and credit union regulations.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and analyze financial statements and reports for audits.
• Maintain general ledger and reconcile accounts monthly.
• Develop and document record keeping and accounting systems.
• Collaborate with vendors and internal staff in finance operations.
• Ensure compliance with Bank Secrecy Act and AML requirements.
