Job summary

UniWyo FCU is seeking an experienced accounting professional to lead the Finance Department under general supervision. The role focuses on maintaining general ledger, preparing financial reports, and ensuring GAAP compliance and AML controls.

The position involves supervising staff, coordinating with vendors, and preparing audit documents, with responsibilities expanding to safeguarding assets and monthly closing processes. A bachelor's degree and 5 years of related experience are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in banking, accounting, management, finance or closely related field and 5 years of relevant accounting or banking experience.
• Equivalent combination of education and experience may apply.
• Proficiency in word processing and spreadsheet software; ability to lift up to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and analyze accounting records and financial statements for accuracy.
• Maintain general ledger and post entries; reconcile accounts.
• Prepare reports for audits and examinations.
• Supervise staff, hire, coach, and manage performance.
• Ensure compliance with Bank Secrecy and AML acts.
