Job summary

UniWyo FCU seeks a Controller to oversee the Finance Department, ensuring accurate accounting, reporting, and compliance. The role includes managing the general ledger, preparing financial statements, and supporting audits.

The Controller will lead the accounting team, implement strong internal controls, and drive process improvements while ensuring accurate cash management and regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in banking, accounting, management, finance or closely related field and five (5) years of relevant accounting experience or equivalent.
• Proficiency in word processing and spreadsheets required.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work outside regular hours may be needed.

Responsibilities

• Prepares, examines, and analyzes accounting records and financial reports for accuracy and compliance.
• Maintains general ledger and posts entries to proper accounts; prepares reports for audits.
• Manages cash flows, reconciles accounts, and coordinates with vendors and staff.
• Leads accounting team, trains staff, and enforces internal controls and procedures.
