Job summary

Aerostar is seeking a senior accounting leader to oversee the integrity of financial statements and drive key reporting processes. You will lead audits, manage cost accounting, and support budgeting and forecasting across divisions.

The role requires strong GAAP knowledge, data-driven analysis, and excellent collaboration with leadership. Expect ownership of month-end close, variance analysis, and staff development in a dynamic manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

• Ability to pull data from multiple sources, provide analysis and recommendations to support business decisions.
• Strong knowledge of GAAP and accounting principles.
• Experience with budget planning, forecasting, and variance analysis.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Excel-based reporting.

Responsibilities

• Assume responsibility for the integrity of financial statements for the company.
• Ensure consistent application of accounting guidance to policies and procedures.
• Lead planning and management of independent audits.
• Prepare month-end financial packets for senior leadership.
• Develop cost reporting and profitability analysis for divisions.
• Support budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis processes.
• Perform cost accounting for materials, labor, overhead, and inventory.
• Reconcile accounts and manage month-end close activities.
• Coach and develop team members; conduct performance reviews and salary planning.
