Job summary

Pine Services Group is seeking a Controller to strengthen accounting leadership across its growing portfolio. Reporting to the CFO, you will partner with finance teams and operating company Controllers to drive rigor, talent development, and scalable processes.

This strategic role focuses on improving operations across multiple entities, with IPO readiness, internal controls, and centralized accounting governance shaping the agenda.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of progressive accounting experience with leadership roles.
• Experience leading accounting within a portfolio of companies.
• Strong knowledge of US GAAP, financial reporting, close processes and controls.
• Experience across multiple entities and teams.
• Proven ability to mentor accounting professionals and leaders.
• Excellent communication with executives and cross-functional partners.
• Bachelor's in Accounting/Finance; CPA license required.

Responsibilities

• Provide accounting leadership to Controllers across the portfolio.
• Strengthen close processes, reporting, policies, and controls.
• Mentor accounting leaders and build future leaders across the organization.
• Lead internal controls initiatives and IPO readiness efforts.
• Establish scalable policies and procedures for a growing, decentralized portfolio.
• Guide multi-entity consolidation and intercompany accounting.
• Identify opportunities to standardize processes while allowing flexibility.
• Lead banking and treasury initiatives and optimize relationships.
• Partner with leadership to address control gaps and remediation plans.
• Support integration of acquired companies into the accounting framework.
• Serve as a trusted resource to Pine leadership and stakeholders.
• Collaborate on strategic accounting initiatives and special projects.
• Foster accountability through influence across decentralized teams.
