Job summary

Insight Pest Solutions is seeking a Controller to lead the accounting function, strengthen internal controls, and ensure compliant financial reporting across multi-state operations. You will oversee accounts payable/receivable, payroll, month-end close, intercompany allocations, budgeting, forecasting, and provide strategic financial insights to executive leadership.

CPA required; 3+ years in Controller roles; experience with ERP systems such as QuickBooks Online, NetSuite, SAP.

Qualifications

• CPA designation required and CPA support offered for ongoing development.
• Minimum 3+ years in Controller or Assistant Controller roles.
• Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting standards.
• Experience with month-end close and financial statement prep.
• Experience with intercompany allocations and multi-state payroll/sales tax.
• Proficiency with ERP/accounting systems listed above and advanced Excel.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily accounting operations including AP, AR, payroll and GL.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
• Manage month-end and year-end close processes.
• Oversee intercompany allocations and internal controls.
• Assist budgeting, forecasting and financial planning activities.
• Monitor cashflow and provide actionable insights to senior management.
• Ensure compliance with tax regulations at federal, state and local levels.
• Supervise and mentor accounting staff.

Position Summary

We are seeking a Controller to serve as a key financial leader responsible for building and strengthening the company’s accounting infrastructure and reporting processes. This role ensures accurate financial reporting, maintains strong internal controls, supports strategic financial planning, and ensures compliance with applicable multi-state laws and accounting standards. The Controller partners with leadership to provide financial insights that support business growth, operational efficiency, and long-term financial stability.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee daily accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and general ledger activities.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
• Manage month-end and year-end closing processes.
• Oversee monthly intercompany allocations.
• Develop and maintain internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure compliance.
• Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning activities.
• Monitor cash flow and provide recommendations to improve financial performance.
• Analyze financial data and provide actionable insights to senior management.
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local tax regulations.
• Supervise and mentor accounting staff.

Qualifications

• CPA designation.
• 3+ years of Controller or Assistant Controllerexperience.
• Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting standards.
• Experience managing month-end close and financial statement preparation.
• Experience with intercompany allocations.
• Experience in multi-state and local payroll tax and sales tax.
• Proficiency with ERP/accounting systems (e.g., QuickBooks Online, NetSuite, Microsoft Dynamics, SAP).
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
• Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.

Preferred

• Experience in the home services industry.

• Salary: $120,000 – $140,000 annually, depending on experience
