Job summary

LHH Recruitment Solutions is seeking a capable Controller for a regional bank in Columbia County, Wisconsin. The role will serve as the CFO's right hand, overseeing accounting operations and strategic planning.

You will lead month-end close, budgeting, policy implementation, and compliance with bank regulations, providing accurate financial reporting and benchmarks. Ideal candidate has an associate degree in accounting or finance, 5+ years' experience in financial services, and a meticulous,

5+ years of accounting experience.
Financial Services/Banking experience.
Strong attention to detail and organization.

Responsibilities

Assist CFO with financial activities and annual budget preparation.
Month-end close process including preparation and posting of journal entries.
Reviews and audits third party vendors and maintains current information on contracts with the bank.
Establish financial and operating benchmarks, budgets, program monitoring, and reporting standards biweekly, monthly, and annually.
Participates in formulating and administering company policies and developing long range goals and objectives.
Annually audits the reconciliation of all internal accounts.
Monitors portfolio for unusual transactions which may lead to purchasing or selling securities.
Implement consistent accounting policies, practices, and procedures across all programs, adhering to national and local legal standards.
