Job summary

Mears Group, Inc. is seeking a Contracts Manager to lead the drafting, negotiation, and management of a broad portfolio of contracts, subcontracts, leases, and licenses.

This role partners with General Counsel and operations to align contractual obligations with business goals and risk controls, while building scalable processes. The role emphasizes onboarding of subcontractors, approval workflows, and implementation of CLM systems, including ISN integration and SharePoint migration.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Construction Management, Legal Studies or related field.
• 5+ years of contract management experience in construction, utilities, or infrastructure sectors.
• Deep understanding of contract law, risk allocation, and negotiation principles.
• Familiarity with contract management platforms like Salesforce, SharePoint, and ISN.

Responsibilities

• Draft, review, negotiate, and manage the full lifecycle of contracts, subcontracts, leases, licenses, and related documents.
• Serve as liaison to General Counsel and outside attorneys for high-risk agreements.
• Lead contract risk assessment and provide interpretation to leadership and project teams.
• Coordinate internal approvals and stakeholder alignment on key contractual decisions and subcontractor agreements.
• Support responses to customer RFPs, RFIs, and compliance requests in coordination with BD and operations.
• Manage subcontractor agreements to ensure flow-down, insurance validation, and client requirements.
