Job summary

Fidelity Investments seeks a Director, Strategic Contracts to lead complex supplier contract negotiations within Procurement. You will collaborate with business units, legal, risk, compliance, and other SMEs to minimize risk and maximize value, acting as a trusted advisor on contract and risk decisions.

Required are a Bachelor's degree (JD preferred) and 8–10 years of related experience in high-stakes contracting and vendor management.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree; JD strongly preferred; 8-10 years of equivalent experience in advanced legal studies or purchasing.
Proactive management and development of key business partner relationships.
Ability to work well under pressure.
Solid understanding of complex contracting models and the ability to negotiate and provide guidance across both standard and non-standard contracts.
Strong negotiation skills and knowledge of contract terms and conditions.

Responsibilities

Lead development, negotiation, management, and administration of complex supplier contracts.
Collaborate with business units, legal, risk, compliance, and other SMEs to minimize risk and optimize value.
Advise business partners on contract and risk decisions and respond quickly to needs.
Influence senior stakeholders with fact-based decision support and context-aware guidance.
Provide contract analysis and perspectives to support executive decision-making.
